As of April 20, we were ranked as the
number one bar in America by Esquire
Magazine. Crazy.

It seems the readers of Baltimore
magazine feel the same way...

2009 Reader's Poll)

Keepin' it local!
David Newman, our new Executive Chef,
has sourced some amazing produce from
two great local suppliers: Baugher's , a
family owned operation in Westminster,
MD and the Tuscarora Organic Growers
Cooperative, based in Hustontown, PA.
We couldn't be happier with the quality of
their harvest. We have also started using
locally raised shrimp from Marvesta Shrimp
Farms, which are simply incredible. Fall
menu to debut in October!

Seasonal beer report:
Currently, we have four
delicious offerings
on tap:
Sublimation
Zodiac (new monthly pale ale,
Pisces is current)
Cerberus Tripel

The french fry controversy:
Folks, our fries have never been
cooked in duck fat, no matter what
the City Paper said in their "Best of
Baltimore" issue. They are cooked
in canola oil. Vegetarians, rest
assured! (and we do appreciate the
kudos in spite of their error)

Bottle news!
First batch of Coup de Boule
available now! The Resurrection is
still around im small quantities,
and there is a new batch of the Ozzy.
It should be noted that these are great
stocking stuffers!
Thanks to your enthusiastic support of
these bottled products, we have been able to support a variety of local charities. Proceeds have gone to Baltimore Reads (Green Peppercorn Tripel), Jones Falls and Herring
Run Watershed Associations (Canard) and
Bat Conservation International
for the Ozzy. Resurrection, which will be
made more frequently (we hope) will see
its proceeds go to a variety of social
programs in Baltimore that help people
get back on their feet (we chose the Shepherd's Clinic for the first few batches).

brands from the Philly market due to extremely
high demand here in the Central MD area. Thanks
